Daniel Farke was interestingly asked about the PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules) situation at Leeds in his press conference on Friday.
Robbie Evans claimed back in September that Leeds are at the limit when it comes to PSR after spending over £100m during the summer.

“This summer, we spent everything we could. Unequivocally, we are maxing PSR out this season. If we had gone on to other targets [on deadline day], the consequences would have been seen in the current roster. More key players from last season would have had to go.”

However, Leeds United News were then told by football finance expert Adam Williams that there is a budget to spend in January despite those comments.
Daniel Farke has now provided a fresh update on the PSR situation after being asked about it ahead of the trip to Brentford on Sunday.

The German largely dodged the question and put the onus on his employers when asked to give an update on what Evans revealed about PSR in September.

Farke said: “It’s up to the CEO to speak about the finances. I’m just running the sport so I’m not responsible for the finances. It’s always up to the owners and our board to decide what we can do, and what is possible. We speak about what is possible (privately) but it’s not my job to speak in public about it or judge it in any way. I deal with what I’ve got. Of course I want the best possible squad, the best possible players and to improve the players as much as possible, but I don’t own the club and I certainly don’t have enough money to spend millions on players myself.
“At least for the next four games we will definitely have this group together, so nothing will happen before the Liverpool game. My focus for the next four games is just to concentrate on maximising this group, and we’ll see what we can do in January.”
You could assume from these comments that the PSR situation has changed slightly, or else Farke easily could have just relayed what Evans said in September to answer the question.

The likes of Joel Piroe and Willy Gnonto are struggling to force their way into Farke's plans.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains a free agent after his departure from Besiktas in August, and Leeds are believed to be monitoring his situation.
The England international has previously said he enjoys playing at wing-back too, a position which Farke can now accommodate in the 3-5-2 formation.
In that respect, Oxlade-Chamberlain, who can play in central midfield too, represents an intriguing option.
