Daniel Farke’s update on his returning Leeds United internationals was largely positive ahead of this weekend’s trip to Swansea City, but one has had to be managed.
The Whites finally make their return to Championship action on Sunday following yet another busy international break for Farke’s squad.
No side in the division had more players away with their respective countries than Leeds, though the game being on Sunday does hand them more time to recover.
In even better news, the break has also allowed Largie Ramazani to return to parts of Leeds team training following four matches out with an ankle injury.
Isaac Schmidt will be absent at Swansea, though, after undergoing minor surgery on a hernia, which isn’t expected to keep him out for too long.

Farke shares update on Max Wober ahead of Leeds vs Swansea
Leeds had issues last season of players returning from international duty with injuries, but appear to have come through this one relatively unscathed.
Having recovered from injury to be on the bench for Leeds’ last three matches, Max Wober was named in the Austria squad.
Wober was handed 90 minutes in Austria’s 1-1 draw with Slovenia on Sunday, which was actually the first time he has played since the September international break.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Farke was pleased to see Wober get some minutes in the tank, but has had to manage him carefully this week due to a slight knee reaction.
He said: “Max Wober came back, played 90 minutes. I was happy that he played but bit concerned he played 90 minutes if I am honest because it was for him like out of the cold and straight into 90 minutes.
“We had to look after him a little bit more this week because the knee reacted a little bit. I think everyone is okay and he’s available, so overall it is beneficial he had some minutes under his belt.”
Could Wober start for Leeds at Swansea?
A combination of Pascal Struijk’s form and injury means Wober has not played a single minute of league football all season.
However, that could change over the coming days due to Leeds’ current shortage at left-back, with Junior Firpo still suspended, and Schmidt out injured.
Sam Byram appears to be Farke’s preferred understudy whenever Firpo is out, but his injury history makes starting him twice in four days risky.
As such, Wober could be a contender to come in and play at left-back in at least one of the matches, a position he has played many times during his career.
