Feyenoord are unlikely to make a move for Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville due to the price tag.
That is according to Soccer News, who report former Leeds manager target Arne Slot has had talks with Summerville over a potential transfer this summer but the club’s hierarchy have ‘serious doubts’ over completing a deal.
It is said that Leeds will command just short of £13 million for Summerville which is seen as too much in the eyes of Feyenoord, particularly after selling him to Elland Road for just £1 million three years ago.
Strengthening out wide is not also currently seen as a priority position for the Dutch side, who were crowned Eredivisie champions last season and therefore will be play Champions League football next term.
According to various reports, Summerville is expected to leave Leeds this summer following relegation to the Premier League in May.
Feyenoord unlikely to make Summerville move
Summerville is yet to return for pre-season training at Leeds after competing at the U21s EUROs with Netherlands, but is due to report back on Monday.
The 21-year-old still has three years remaining on his current contract at Elland Road having put pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal last summer.
It is unclear whether it includes a relegation release clause, though it does feel as if Summerville is someone Leeds would be open to selling in order to raise some funds.
That said, Summerville is a player who possesses an enormous talent and it would be a shame to lose him so early in his career given his potential.
He undoubtedly has the ability to tear the Championship up, but it is inevitable that at least one of he, Jack Harrison, Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra will have to leave.
