Coventry City are to complete the signing of Leeds United target Milan van Ewijk from SC Heerenven.
That is according to Leeuwarder Courant, who report van Ewijk is set to fly to the UK today and undergo a medical ahead of signing a four-year-deal with the Midlands club.
Coventry are said to have agreed a fee in the region of £3.4 million for van Ewijk, who was reportedly recorded as the fastest player in the Eredivisie last season.
Leeds and Anderlecht were among the sides also interested in signing the 22-year-old, who scored an impressive six goals from right-back last season.
Van Ewijk is an international teammate of Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville with the two both having been in Netherlands’ squad for the U21s EUROs in Georgia earlier this month.

This certainly looks like a good signing for Coventry with van Ewijk clearly very highly rated back in his native Netherlands.
However, how concrete Leeds’ interest in the defender is dubious, with Daniel Farke already having two quality Championship right-backs at his disposal.
Cody Drameh finally looks set to be handed his opportunity in Leeds‘ first team this season after two impressive Championship loan spells at Cardiff City and Luton Town respectively.
A move for van Ewijk would’ve perhaps made sense if Drameh is to leave this summer, though speculation linking him with an exit has gone quiet in recent weeks.
Luke Ayling is another option for Farke in that position and his experience will undoubtedly be important for Leeds this season.
