The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon has reported on his Patreon page that Stoke City are willing to sell Josh Tymon in the final few days of the window – with Leeds United said to be among Tymon’s admirers.
Tymon, 24, has spent the last six years at Stoke. It comes after breaking into Hull City’s side, playing 14 times at senior level – before joining Stoke. He has gone on to play 121 times for Alex O’Neil’s Stoke side.
That, alongside loans at MK Dons and Portuguese side Familicao in 2019. New signings at Stoke in the last few weeks have seen the England U20 star fall down the pecking order. Stoke are ready to cash in.
Stoke need to ‘balance the books’ and Tymon is being made available, though it is unclear how much any interested parties would need to pay. According to TeamTalk, Leeds and Swansea are keeping tabs.

Leeds do need a left-back. We needed one before Saturday’s win over Ipswich. But with Junior Firpo now joined by Sam Byram in the treatment room, Leeds are lacking in options. Cody Drameh struggled.
He was hooked just 20 minutes after replacing Byram on Saturday. Jamie Shackleton played the second half in that position. It is likely Shackleton starts their on Tuesday night, against Salford City in the Cup.
So with left-back options Firpo, Byram and Stuart Dallas all still sidelined – Leeds need a new face in that area. Tymon would certainly give us that – but is he the answer if he is struggling to start for Stoke?
On Saturday, he did start against Millwall. But Tymon was hooked at half-time having struggled, as Stoke lost 1-0 to Millwall. Stoke Sentinel gave him 5/10, saying he “couldn’t affect the game”. We can do better.
