Finnish website Sportti claims Dinamo Zagreb have tabled an offer to sign Venezia and Finland star Joel Pohjanpalo amid reports that Leeds United are interested in him – as well as West Ham and a number of other English clubs.
Pohjanpalo, 28, starred for Serie B side Venezia after joining the club in the summer of 2022. He scored 19 goals in 38 games, laying on seven assists. The 63-time Finland ace scored in Venezia’s first game of the year on Monday.
Italian outlet TMW say Leeds, West Ham, Blackburn and Norwich all want to sign Pohjanpalo – with a £3.5m release clause residing in his Venezia contract. Italian outlet La Nazione said this week Zagreb and Leverkusen are keen.
A move to Leverkusen would see him go back to a club in which he scored eight goals in 28 games. But now, a new update in the future of Pohjanpalo – as a report from his home country claims Zagreb have made an offer for him.

Croatia would be a new country to add to Pohjanpalo’s journeyman career which includes Turkey, Finland, Germany and Italy. A move to Zagreb would also see him join a club that are in Champions League qualifying at this stage.
Zagreb table offer to sign Pohjanpalo amid Leeds and West Ham reports
Pohjanpalo would be a wonderful signing. A striker that has shown he is far too good for the second tier of Italian football. A player that scored regularly in the Bundesliga, and a move to Turkey saw him net 16 goals in 33 games.
For £3.5m, Leeds would be getting an experienced striker, that shows he finds it easy to adapt to new countries. He is good in the air, but can play as a 10 or out wide, too. But a move to Zagreb, Leverkusen or West Ham is tempting.
