West Bromwich Albion are looking to cash in and sell Grady Diangana according to The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon in an update posted on his Patreon channel – with Leeds and Burnley keeping tabs.

Diangana, 25, has failed to play a single minute for the Baggies this term. Baggies boss Carlos Corberan is not using him. West Brom hope to sell – but will have to accept a loss on the £18m fee paid for him.

At his best, Diangana has shown he can thrive in the Premier League. A tricky, fleet-footed winger with the ability to score and create goals. But he has failed to do so at The Hawthorns, injury playing a part.

There is certainly still a player in there and at 25, he still has time on his side. That is proven by Premier League interest in him from Burnley. It is unclear how much West Brom will want for his signature.

The Express & Star said Leeds had added him to the shortlist at the start of the month. That interest is still live according to Nixon and West Brom are keen to cash in before Friday’s deadline, to get their man.

Diangana is a player with Premier League quality. Likely to be available for a cheap-ish fee, and still only 25. But with a few days left in the window, do we really need to be prioritising the signing of a winger?

Surely, we would be better off targeting a left-back, a no.10, another central midfielder? Nadiem Amiri looked as though he was going to be a no.10 signing, but that does not look as though it will materialise.
