The Mail have reported that Brighton have joined a trio of Premier League clubs in the race to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United – with Everton, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa all said to have asked Leeds about the USA skipper.
Adams, 24, is one of the few names to come out of the 22-23 campaign at Leeds with pass marks. But he will know that his hamstring injury might have been the main reason Leeds ended up going down. We missed Adams dearly.
A whole host of Premier League sides have been linked. 90Min claim that Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham and Manchester United all want the ex-Leipzig man. Now, the Mail report interest from four other Premier League clubs.
They say that Brighton are looking to replace the likely loss of Moises Caicedo. They are considering a £25m move to bring Adams to the south coast. Everton, Villa and Forest have all made enquiries to land the American midfielder.

Brighton would be a wonderful move for Adams. Caicedo is the man in front of their defence and if he is going, then Adams has got to jump at the chance to play for Roberto De Zerbi. Villa have just signed midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Forest could do with a holding midfielder and Everton just need more in terms of quality. Adams would give them that, but he would be correct in thinking he has outgrown a Premier League side likely to be in a relegation scrap.
Leeds getting £25m for him is decent business. It sees Leeds make a profit on the £20m we bought him for, despite going down and Adams picking up an injury. If he gets the chance to join Brighton, he should jump at the chance.
