Ben Parker told LS11 that duo Crysencio Summerville and Dan James must be a “nightmare” to face in the Championship, likening the duo to Leeds United icons Robert Snodgrass and Max Gradel.
Summerville, 22, was involved in all four goals on Saturday as Leeds cruised past Huddersfield. He got two goals and two assists, creating twice for James – who took his tally to seven involvements in 12.
The duo are keeping out Willy Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony at the moment, which is no mean feat given Gnonto is an Italy international – and Anthony has previous pedigree in this league with Bournemouth.
Snodgrass and Gradel are of course, well-thought of at Elland Road. Both were members of the League One side that gained promotion back to the Championship under Simon Grayson, back in 2019-20.

Parker likened Summerville and James to that of Gradel and Snodgrass, with whom he played alongside during that season. He says that having a threat on both sides makes it difficult for opposition defence.
“What a performance. We did it with pace, we did it with quality. I liken Summerville and James back to my day when we had Snodgrass and Gradel. Threats on both sides of the pitch,” Parker said, on LS11.
“It is a nightmare to defend against. if you’ve only got one, you can shuffle over. But when you have the pace of both and the quality to add to it, it is so hard to defend against,” Parker added on the Leeds duo.

Leeds United duo compared to Robert Snodgrass and Max Gradel
The duo are proving lethal. Proven as much, when they were not playing against Stoke. Gnonto and loan signing Anthony failed to provide the difference away at Stoke – we missed duo James and Summerville.
Saturday further strengthened that case, James and Summerville shining against Huddersfield. Darren Moore’s side could not handle the Leeds stars, or Georginio Rutter. The new Snodgrass and Gradel.
