Leeds United did well to register a thrilling comeback win against Swansea City, but BBC Radio Leeds pundit Jon Newsome was not impressed with one particular player.
Daniel Farke’s side headed into the match against Swansea as favourites, but they conceded the first goal of the Championship game after just eight minutes.
Leeds also needed Wilfried Gnonto to score the winning goal in the 4-3 victory in injury time.

Leeds United forward Mateo Joseph criticised vs Swansea City
Gnonto came on as a substitute in the 75th minute and made a big impact. Mateo Joseph came on at the same time in place of Joel Piroe. He did not.
Jon Newsome was following the match for BBC Radio Leeds, and the former Leeds defender was not impressed by the display produced by Joseph.
The BBC Radio Leeds pundit noticed that the 21-year-old Spain Under-21 international forward did not put enough effort into his game when Leeds were not winning the game.
Newsome said about Joseph on BBC Radio Leeds: “When Joseph came on, I didn’t think he looked sharp, looked like everything was half-hearted and half-paced.
It soon changed when we scored the winner and you saw him chasing back at twice the speed he had been chasing back before.
“That is one of the things you have to highlight and one of the things the players need to look at. If you are a substitute and you are coming on you need to be game ready, match ready.”

Mateo Joseph’s game in numbers
Joseph is just 21 now, and we have to keep that in mind while criticising the young forward.
Not many players are very consistent at that age. It is also not easy for a youngster to make an impact as a substitute.
Against Swansea on Sunday, Joseph took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 33.3%, and took just eight touches.
The youngster won one of his two ground duels and lost possession four times.
So far this season, Joseph has made nine starts and seven substitute appearances in the Championship. He has scored two goals and given three assists in those games.
