It seemed to be a family affair for Leeds United’s players on Saturday afternoon as many players were spotted with their loved ones on the Elland Road pitch following the 4-0 win over Oxford United.
The likes of Junior Firpo, Joel Piroe and plenty of other Leeds players shared some quality time with their nearest and dearest as Leeds took to the Elland Road pitch for the final time in 2024, securing a big win.
Indeed, the biggest win of the 24-25 season for Daniel Farke’s side as Dan James, Jayden Bogle, Brenden Aaronson and Manor Solomon all got on the score sheet to keep the pressure on Sheffield United.
Josuha Guilavogui maintained a winning streak that every game he has played in, Leeds have won. That is seven appearances for the Frenchman since he signed on a free, coming on for the last seven minutes.

It was an easy win in the end for Leeds but picking up points at home has not been a problem. So far, Leeds have 10 league wins from 12 games – but away from Elland Road, Leeds have just three from 10.
Guilavogui has pinpointed the away record as an issue in the pursuit of promotion but he was all smiles on Saturday, posting a series of pictures on Instagram that also included close friend Bafetimbi Gomis.
The duo spent large parts of their careers together at French side St. Etienne. At 39, Gomis is five years his senior but clearly, they are close and the Leeds ace said: “Great result for our last home game.
“Very proud to welcome my family to our Home. Merry Christmas everyone.”

The 12-time France international became renowned in the Premier League for his time at Swansea City, and that iconic crawling celebration. It comes after stunning spells at Lyon, Marseille and in Turkey.
After four years in Saudi Arabia and a brief stint in Japan which ended earlier this year, Gomis is without a club and while not officially retired, the star is a free agent. He gave his verdict on Leeds and Elland Road.

He said: “Great result amazing atmosphere thank you so much for the warm welcome and all the best for the rest of the season.” Hopefully for Guilavogui and Leeds, his winning record continues after Christmas.
