There were a number of excellent performances in a Leeds United shirt against AC Milan. But one stood head and shoulders above the rest, in new signing Anton Stach.
Gabriel Gudmundsson was excellent at left-back, Willy Gnonto was inventive, having been moved to the left flank, and Dan James looked as though his muscle injury is behind him, just in time to face Everton.
But Stach was arguably the best player on the pitch, scoring a superb goal for Leeds with a curling shot from the edge of the area. Not only that, but Stach was everywhere, both defensively and going forward.
Daniel Farke and Lucas Perri were impressed with Stach after the 1-1 draw against Milan, as Stach proved to Leeds fans why he has cost £19.9m. But what is evident is that Stach has a bit of a crazy side, as well.

Anton Stach posts bizarre, yet hilarious message to Leeds fans
There is no doubt that Stach will be in the starting line-up when it comes to August 18, and Leeds host Everton at Goodison Park. What is up for debate, is who starts in midfield alongside the lofty German.
Ethan Ampadu is likely to sit behind Stach, but then it is one of three that could combine with the trio. Ao Tanaka remains a fan favourite, Sean Longstaff’s experience will be crucial and Ilia Gruev is trustworthy.
But Stach took on the role as the main man against Milan, and he’s having some fun since joining Leeds. He posted an image of himself as one of the Beatles, recreating the famous Abbey Road album cover.
He captioned the post: “Pre-season crossed. Next stop: Premier League.”
Willy Gnonto and Jayden Bogle clearly impressed by Anton Stach
Stach’s performances have not gone unnoticed by Leeds fans in pre-season, and it is clear his teammates appreciate him, too. He was looked to as the man to make a difference during the draw against Milan.
But commenting on his Instagram, injured Bogle made it clear what he thought about Stach, even though he is yet to play alongside Leeds’ most expensive signing this summer. He commented, “Player.”

Bogle is not the only one, either. Gnonto thinks Stach is a “baller”, also commenting on his post above. Hopefully for Stach, Leeds and the club’s supporters, he takes his pre-season form into the big time.
