Training at Thorp Arch has been a topic of conversation for Leeds this week.
Patrick Bamford claimed that Joe Gelhardt was “one of the best” trainers at Leeds before Daniel Farke loaned the 23-year-old to Hull City, where he can currently boast five goals in his last six Championship appearances.
Regarding those still at Leeds, Anton Stach has now revealed that Jack Harrison is the best in training.
Anton Stach hails Jack Harrison for his efforts in Leeds United training
The Germany international has spent time with the social media team to film a Day in the Life with Anton Stach – where he dished the dirt on some teammates.
When asked who he feels is the best performer in training sessions at Thorp Arch, the Leeds No.18 said: “The best in training? That’s a good question. I would say who’s really good in training is Jack for me. Jack Harrison. Yeah, he’s really good.”
It is hard not to admire the 29-year-old for being one of the best in training given his current situation under Farke.
Harrison has only made one Premier League start so far this season following the arrival of Noah Okafor from AC Milan, but he is clearly eager to prove his boss wrong with committed displays in training.
Jack Harrison is also displaying a fine attitude at Leeds United
Some might presume the Leeds No.20 is annoyed by his situation, but Ethan Solis – his individual player coach – has claimed otherwise.

Solis told Leeds Live that he has “never seen” Harrison “this happy” despite his lack of starts, saying: “Jack respects the decisions, he’s humble, he’s just ready…he’s ready to go if you need him, if there’s an injury, and he’s going to have a string of games. I think you’ll get the best out of him. The guy’s not shy of putting in a shift and working his tail off on the field.
“He’s happy. He’s in his best mental state I’ve ever seen him. He wants to play like any player right, but he understands the situation. Mood-wise, I’ve never seen him this happy.”
That is pleasing to hear, and if Harrison keeps impressing in training at Thorp Arch, he might eventually win over Farke should results fail to improve.
