Andrea Radrizzani was no stranger to a Twitter outburst during his time as Leeds United owner.
The 48-year-old has a string of needless, controversial tweets from his spell at Elland Road, none more so than when he welcomed Bamba Dieng to the club last year, before the deal fell through just hours later.
And even though Radrizzani is no longer at Leeds and is now owner of Sampdoria, he has once again involved himself with Whites matters on Twitter.
Radrizzani has clearly been left unimpressed with Angus Kinnear’s comments in an interview with the Square Ball this week, which has prompted him to bite back.
Kinnear commented on numerous aspects of Leeds’ failures over the last two years, including Radrizzani, Victor Orta and loan clauses, with the latter having prompted the Italian to hit out at the Whites chief.
Radrizzani Twitter outburst is more evidence Leeds are now better off
Radrizzani has since deactivated his Twitter account after his latest outburst, but this is just more evidence Leeds are better off without him.
Someone with such responsibility should not be making such frequent gaffes on social media like this, often making Leeds a laughing stock with the stuff he said.
Leeds are now in the hands of a much more professional ownership structure with San Francisco 49ers Enterprises, who prefer to be seen, but not heard.
Particularly towards the end of his tenure, Radrizzani was the complete opposite of that which became a real source of frustration for Leeds fans given what was happening on the pitch.
Aside from an interview conducted with Paraag Marathe on the Official Leeds United Podcast when the EFL finally approved 49ers Enterprises’ full buyout, they have managed to navigate an extremely difficult summer successfully in silence.
So, with that all in mind, Leeds are now clearly in much better hands than they ever were under Radrizzani and supporters should be looking forward to the new era.
