Former Leeds United defender Aidy White has slammed his former side’s performance after they slumped to a damaging Premier League defeat against Burnley.
Daniel Farke was powerless to change the direction of travel in a costly Premier League defeat, as his toothless Leeds side failed to break down their opponents.
Brenden Aaronson was guilty of missing Leeds’ best chance of the game, shooting straight at Martin Dubravka while in acres of space and missing the chance to pull Leeds level.
However, Anton Stach also struggled, failing to pick up his man in both of the Burnley goals on an afternoon to forget in Lancashire.
Farke has plenty of food for thought after the defeat, and former Leeds man White did not hold back in his assessment of their performance against Burnley.

Aidy White criticises Brenden Aaronson after Leeds United defeat
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds immediately after full-time, White claimed that there was a major gulf in class between the two sides in the final third.
According to White, Aaronson’s miss exemplified Leeds’ shortcomings, as Farke’s side struggled to carve out a clear-cut chance at Turf Moor.
White said: “Daniel Farke will probably say in his post-match press conference, if you look at the stats, we deserve to win or get something from that game. Optics-wise, absolutely not.
“Like I said on commentary, you could play that game all day, there’s just a massive lack of quality today in the final third, whether that be executing shots on goal like Aaronson, whether that’s wide areas, quality into the box so your strikers can get on the end of things.
“Or when we finally do get a little bit of quality, putting one of those chances to bed. It wasn’t going to come today, like I said, we could have been here for days and days and played, and it just wasn’t going to go in the back of the net for Leeds.
“That’s the biggest gulf in quality I’ve probably seen in a long time in a Leeds shirt today.”

Stats highlight gulf in class between Burnley and Leeds
Scott Parker got the better of Daniel Farke in the Championship last season, as Leeds failed to score in either of the meetings between the two sides, and history repeated itself again at Turf Moor.
The stats from the game highlight the difference between the two sides in the final third, as Leeds wasted a string of chances, although they created few truly clear-cut opportunities.
| Metric | Burnley | Leeds |
| Shots | 4 | 19 |
| Shots on Target | 3 | 4 |
| Expected Goals | 0.45 | 1.68 |
| Big Chances Missed | 0 | 4 |
The stats from FotMob show where Leeds fell short, as they had 19 shots on goal, with only four on target. This is in contrast to Burnley, who had just four shots, with three on target.
Leeds’ expected goals tally was also much higher than Burnley’s, with the Whites generating a total of 1.68 to Burnley’s 0.45. However, Farke’s side failed to put the ball in the net, which is all that matters in the end.
