Leeds United have ‘absolutely no interest’ in selling Crysencio Summerville in the January transfer window.
That is according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who was speaking to Give Me Sport about Summerville’s future, as he continues to light up the Championship.
The 22-year-old has already scored six goals and provided four assists so far this season, with only Sammie Szmodics, Adam Armstrong and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall having contributed to more.
His pace and directness has already proved too much for several Championship defences and so that will undoubtedly have Premier League sides on a red alert ahead of January.
Fabrizio Romano has already confirmed clubs from England’s top-flight are monitoring him, after Burnley saw a £20 million offer rejected in the final 48 hours of the summer window.
Leeds have ‘no interest’ in selling Summerville
Despite that recent speculation, Jones has insisted Leeds have ‘absolutely no interest’ in letting Summerville leave in January and will do everything they can in order to keep him.
He said: “They’re delighted this one has worked out how it has because he’s proved so important. I think that the one thing for Leeds to be careful of here is that the teams down the bottom end of the Premier League will be crying out for a guy who can open any defence up and just create a spark.
“So, players like Summerville will be in demand in January for some desperate teams. They’ll do everything they can to put off any potential buyers because they’ve got absolutely no interest in selling him.”

It is looking increasingly like Leeds will be involved in a promotion battle this season and with that in mind, they can ill afford to be losing any key players in January.
After his form in recent weeks, Summerville is absolutely top of the list of players they need to be keeping, having proved himself as a match-winner at this level.
A sale of £20 million + in January would be worth pennies in comparison to the financial benefits of getting promoted to the Premier League.
