Leeds United were held to a 0-0 draw by Hull City on Wednesday night.
The Whites were by far the better side until the hour mark at the MKM Stadium before Joe Rodon was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
Daniel Farke’s side were able to grind it out in the closing stages to come away with a point and a third successive clean sheet, but will have also left a little frustrated.
Leeds created a host of chances up until Rodon’s red card with Summerville at the heart of almost everything after his introduction from the bench on 20 minutes due to Wilfried Gnonto’s injury.
Summerville was not at his best in the win at Millwall on Sunday but the same could not be said at Hull, as he proved to be a constant thorn in the home side’s defence.
Summerville electric for Leeds in Hull stalemate
As mentioned, with 55 touches, Summerville was involved in absolutely everything positive from an attacking point of view for Leeds.
He made three key passes during the match, including his through ball for Georginio Rutter that he should’ve finished off to put Leeds ahead.
Summerville also completed two of his four dribbles, winning three fouls in the process where he was cynically brought down by Hull players as he looked to launch a counter.
But for two impressive saves by Ryan Allsop and a last-ditch clearance on the line by Cyrus Christie, Summerville can count himself unlucky not to have got himself on the scoresheet.
The 21-year-old played on the left and right wing for Leeds and was equally as effective in both. More performances like that and the goals/assists will start flying.
