Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha left Leeds United in the same summer to join Manchester City and Barcelona, and now the duo could be reunited – with Barcelona looking to land the Englishman.
Phillips, 28, is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs including the likes of West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace. The England man has struggled for game time at Manchester City.
After 18 months of substitute outings and a lack of momentum at The Etihad – in the same time in which Raphinha has had a hand in 33 goals in 70 games at Barcelona – Phillips is now keen to leave his side.
It comes not long after leaving Leeds in the summer of 2022, alongside Raphinha. A new report now claims that Phillips, who recently became a Father, has the opportunity to leave England this month.
The Telegraph claim Raphinha’s Barcelona want to lure him to Spain, with Xavi looking for a new midfield general. But, Barcelona are not the only Spanish side keen on the Leeds academy product this month.

Kalvin Phillips could join Raphinha at Barcelona this month
Indeed, Diego Simeone is open to the chance of luring him to Atletico Madrid in the coming fortnight. A big decision to make for Phillips, who needs game time to stand any chance of playing at Euro 2024.
But it could be quite the coincidence that Raphinha – who said this week that he almost joined Man United – and Phillips, could reunite. It might even tempt Phillips to join Barcelona, if given the chance.
What is clear, is that Phillips is still a Leeds man. A player that still loves the Yorkshire club and even reacted to Luke Ayling’s exit last week. Perhaps one day, he will return to Elland Road, his home.
