26-year-old Leeds star’s record vs Blackburn is quite incredible, five goals and assists in five

Leeds United will be looking to make it three wins in a row against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday lunchtime – and Dan James’ record against the Lancashire club is incredibly promising.

Daniel Farke will be looking for his side to secure a ninth win in the last 11 league games, in order to keep Leicester City and Ipswich Town on their toes. They play Plymouth at home, and Middlesbrough away.

Blackburn, meanwhile, are very inconsistent this term. Just one draw in 23 games, winning three of the last five – but, losing 3-1 to struggling Sheffield Wednesday last time out. At Ewood Park, it will be tough.

But, Leeds have the fire power to win the game. The goals, the players that are in form. One of those is 26-year-old James, who has been in stunning form in recent games. 10 goals and assists in 17 this term.

Five goals in his last six league games. He is sure to be starting on Saturday as Willy Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony continue to wait their chance. His record against Blackburn is certainly one to give fans hope.

Dan James record against Blackburn promising for Leeds United

In his career, James has played against Blackburn five times – albeit, four times against the U21 side for Swansea’s second string. The other, for Swansea’s first team. In those five games, James has four wins.

In the senior match, he got an assist in a 3-1 win back in 2018-19. Prior to that, a goal and three assists in four games for Swansea’s U21 side against Rovers. While it might be PL2, he likes facing Blackburn.

Hopefully, James can continue that run of form against Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side on the weekend. If he is to keep the likes of Gnonto and Anthony out of the side, he will need to keep adding to his numbers.
