Many of Daniel Farke’s signings have worked this season including the likes of Ethan Ampadu, Joel Piroe and Sam Byram – but Joe Rodon has excelled, after joining Leeds on loan from Tottenham.
Rodon, 26, has been a mainstay in this Leeds side since joining the club on loan from Tottenham in the summer. With Pascal Struijk picking up injuries of late, Rodon continues to be our defensive heartbeat.
The Wales star continues to help Leeds in our push for an instant return to the Premier League, after we were relegated last season. Leeds have a good chance, even if the Whites don’t get into the top two.
Now, TalkSPORT claim Rodon is ‘keen’ on another Premier League chance, after managing just 15 top-flight appearances while at Tottenham. He remains contracted with Spurs until the summer of 2025.
His form at Leeds is more than likely to draw in a number of Premier League suitors in the summer, but the report claims that Leeds could win the race for Rodon – but only, if we can gain instant promotion.

Reports prior to this week’s claim suggest that Spurs are open to his permanent sale, even with the ingoing and outgoings of Eric Dier and Radu Dragusin, this week. A fee would set Leeds back, £20m.
Leeds might have known that it would take promotion to get Rodon permanently. Even if, it is better from our side that we do not spend £20m on a defender while in the Championship, for financial reasons.
Leeds have been linked with a number of Welsh players. Given we boast Dan James and Ethan Ampadu, Rodon will feel like he is at home. If Leeds go up, it is the perfect club for the Tottenham man, long-term.
