24-year-old opts for move to Euro club after agent held ‘talks’ with Leeds this morning

Leeds United target Ola Solbakken has opted for a move to Olympiacos.

That is according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports Solbakken has made his decision on a move to Greece amid interest from Leeds.

As per the Daily Mail, Leeds were in talks with Solbakken’s agent over a potential move to Elland Road as they continue to assess potential options in attack.

Leeds have already lost out on the signings of Joseph Paintsil and Nadiem Amiri, who have both decided to remain at their current clubs after offers from the Whites.

Now it appears as though Leeds have been handed another blow with Solbakken having chosen to move to Olympiacos, where he will be playing in Europe this season.

With just over 24 hours until the deadline, it remains uncertain as to whether they will bring anyone else in once the signing of Glen Kamara is wrapped up.

That said, there are still rumours that either Luis Sinisterra or Wilfried Gnonto could be on their way out, with Everton having taken an interest in both.

If any of those do move on before the 11pm deadline, then Leeds will be forced to enter the market to ensure they do not leave themselves short.

However, if Solbakken was indeed a concrete target, then they will now be forced to turn their attentions elsewhere.

It certainly threatens to be an interesting 24 hours, but as mentioned, any Leeds incomings are likely to hinge on potential outgoings.
