The Daily Mail claim Leeds United have opened talks to sign Roma winger Ola Solbakken in case clubs make a late moves for Willy Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra – with the Norway wide man likely to cost £4m.
Solbakken has struggled to make an impact at Roma since his move from Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in January. Just 15 outings have come his way, scoring one. But his form for Bodo/Glimt was astonishing.
A two-time Norway champion, he had a hand in 44 goals during 91 games from attacking midfield. No surprises then, that Roma cam calling – but the array of talent at Roma may see him be allowed to go.
The report from The Mail claims that clubs are still showing interest in Gnonto and Sinisterra. Due to that, Leeds have drawn up a contingency plan by opening talks Solbakken’s agent – who’s rated at £4m.
It is unclear if Roma are willing to let him go – though, they will be aware his chances of game time are limited. It is also not stated if Solbakken would be keen to swap Rome for Yorkshire. Time is limited.

He would be a real coup. A player that starred in Norway and certainly deserved a big move to Europe, Roma taking a chance on him. Roma got him on a free, so selling him for £4m is likely to appeal to them.
But, if Gnonto and Sinisterra remain, there is little point. Solbakken is a versatile attacker – able to play out wide, up top or as a 10. He would be a smart addition; only if we lose a player or two in the final third.
