Georginio Rutter has dropped a big hint that he is indeed available for Leeds United’s trip to Rotherham United tonight.

Daniel Farke had labelled Rutter as a ‘major doubt’ in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday after returning from international duty with an abdominal strain.

Farke suggested that a late decision would be made on his availability and Rutter may have just confirmed that he is in the squad on his Instagram.

Rutter, along with several of his Leeds teammates post pre-match Instagram stories before every game if they are going to be playing, or at least featuring in the squad.

And the 21-year-old has done exactly that in the last couple of hours which could be a major hint that he has overcome his injury to feature at Rotherham.

Rutter availability a huge boost for Leeds

Rutter would be a huge absentee if he was to miss out as Farke has pretty much built the entirety of the attack around his creativity and ability to carry the ball from deep.

Leeds do not really have a direct replacement for that in the squad and so it would’ve been interesting to see how Farke adapts to being without his talisman.

Farke suggested in his presser that Patrick Bamford would be the most likely replacement for Rutter, and would have no qualms about starting him regardless of his current lack of confidence.

It still may be the case that Bamford starts as Rutter may not be 100% fit, but you would think that if he is fit enough to make the squad, he is fit enough to start.

Either way, if this Instagram story is proof that Rutter is available then that is a huge boost, alongside the other five players who returned to training during the international break.
