Leeds United are being linked with a late move for Leicester City defender Harry Souttar and now it is being claimed that the Australia centre-back is ‘keen’ on a move to Elland Road on deadline day.
Scotland-born Souttar, 25, is currently struggling for game time at Leicester – playing just four matches under Enzo Maresca. But, he has starred for his country, scoring five goals in 10 caps this season.
He is currently at the Asian Cup with Australia, who have reached the quarter-finals where they take on Jurgen Klinsmann and Son Heung-min’s South Korea, tomorrow. Today, he could need to do a medical.
Amid talks with Sheffield United, Souttar is said to have told his agents to stall a move to Bramall Lane as Leeds came into view. Leeds are also said to have made an enquiry to land the former Stoke man.
Now, Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Graham Smyth has claimed on Twitter that Souttar will be ‘keen’ on a move to Elland Road before Thursday’s 11pm deadline. It is one that could need the whole day.

The £15m man has spent most of his career in the Championship, mostly at Stoke before his move to Leicester in January last year. He played 12 times for Leicester during the second half of last season.
