Leeds United fans have slammed Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri after another uncertain performance in the defeat against Nottingham Forest.
Things started so well for Leeds when Lukas Nmecha gave his side an early lead, latching onto a neat pass from Brenden Aaronson.
However, Forest were soon level and Lucas Perri played a crucial role in the equaliser, after palming a cross to the feet of Ibrahim Sangare.
David Prutton believes Daniel Farke will be enraged with the way his defence failed to deal with the cross; however, Perri should have done better.
His performance earned an angry reaction from the Leeds fans, who took to social media to criticise the goalkeeper after a damaging Premier League defeat.

Leeds United fans slam Lucas Perri for Nottingham Forest display
Posting on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), fans were quick to share their frustration at the Brazilian’s performance at the City Ground.
One fan went as far as to claim the club had been scammed by Lyon, who wrote: “Perri is the biggest dud, we’ve been completely scammed. Get Darlow in and get Farke and Perri gone so we can turn this around before it’s too late.”
Another fan claimed that the goalkeeper position at Leeds was cursed, arguing: “Perri has a lot to do with the Forest goal, we were eliminated from the League Cup by a goal that Darlow gave away, and the other goalkeeper is Meslier. The Leeds goal has been cursed since Gary Sprake debuted.”
Another fan argued that Karl Darlow was a better option to start, writing: “Darlow is better than Perri, Stach is not in form, get Tanaka on.”
Ethan Ampadu was also partially at fault for failing to react to Perri’s parry, as one fan argued: “Forest goal Ampadu gets done easy!!! And could Perri have caught the cross instead of parrying it out to the centre of the box?”
One fan argued that Leeds were better off with Illan Meslier in goal, posting: “Unpopular view, but I think Perri is worse than Meslier.”

Defeat ends long Leeds United run when scoring first
Jack Harrison conceded a late penalty to put the result beyond all doubt, as Daniel Farke was unable to change the course of the game with a string of second-half changes.
By falling to another defeat at the City Ground, Leeds ended a two-year unbeaten run when scoring first in a game.
Leeds’ record when scoring first since May 2023:
- Played: 54
- Won: 47
- Drawn: 6
- Lost: 1
According to the Sky Sports coverage, Leeds had scored first in 53 games since May 2023, going on to win 47 of them and draw six.
The nature of Leeds’ collapse will be concerning for Farke and the 49ers. Perri and the Leeds defence were too porous, as Forest opened them up at will at times.
