It’s another point for Leeds United and another game unbeaten. Sunday’s draw with Manchester United has taken the Whites eight points clear of the bottom three.

A brilliant result once again for Leeds, who have clocked up 11 points in the last seven games despite facing Liverpool twice, Chelsea, and Man United as well as taking on Brentford, Sunderland, and Palace.

What might have been… Who was your MOTM in Leeds’ draw with Man United?

Brenden Aaronson was immense once again 🔥

Brenden Aaronson has arguably been Leeds’ best player in recent weeks and on Sunday, he was superb once again. LeedsUnited.News handed the American a rating of 9/10, with Aaronson scoring for Leeds.

But Leeds’ lead only lasted three minutes, and back came Ruben Amorim’s men. On 87 minutes, Farke decided to take Aaronson off, to a standing ovation. Full circle, for a player who has earned criticism.

Joe Hart disagrees with Lucy Ward in Brenden Aaronson verdict

Towards the end of the match, former Leeds United Ladies and now award-winning broadcaster and co-commentator Lucy Ward chose Man United’s Cunha as man of the match, overlooking £25m Aaronson.

But in his analysis on TNT Sports, Joe Hart says he would have picked Aaronson before praising the Leeds star for his display: “He’s [Aaronson] a quality player, he was probably our pick for Man of the Match.

“Obviously Lucy has gone with Cunha. He was all over the pitch, he puts himself and his body on the line. It’s nice to top it off with a goal, important for him to keep building,” Hart continued, praising Aaronson.

Aaronson gets a 9, but duo get 5 out of 10 – do you agree? 🤔

Probably Aaronson's best-ever Leeds display.

Where does Aaronson rate among Leeds players in the stats?

No one has more assists than Aaronson does this season for Leeds, and the American actually boasts the second-most goals and assists combined now, with a total of five. At least, joint second with Anton Stach.

But in terms of all of the stats compiled, where does Aaronson rate among Leeds’ entire squad? FotMob rate Aaronson’s average performance this season at 6.77, which works out as Leeds’ eighth-best player.

Currently, Anton Stach leads the way with 7.21 while Ethan Ampadu is second, boasting 7.15. Improving Jaka Bijol is now third with 7.13 according to the stats, while Sean Longstaff and Pascal Struijk are next.

Of course, stats aren’t everything – Joe Rodon is 11th, for example – but Aaronson can be happy with the contribution he is putting on the table at the moment. Certainly, he deserves his place in the starting XI.
