Leeds United face Everton in their opening fixture of the 2025-26 Premier League season.

It’s been two long years but Leeds United will be back in Premier League competition when they face Everton.

Leeds know they have a huge battle on their hands to survive in the top flight, so a home clash with a potential fellow relegation candidate on the opening day means they have to start strongly.

Daniel Farke has made seven additions to his Championship title-winning squad, bringing in high-level experience as well as significantly increasing the height of his side.

Leeds will not be easy to beat, but they must ensure they can pick up three points from the off when they face Everton.

How to watch Leeds United vs Everton

It’s almost as if Sky couldn’t wait to get Leeds back in the Premier League, as they have selected several of their early fixtures for television coverage, including this one.

As a result, there are multiple ways to watch.

The game will feature on the Monday Night Football programme, which will see Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville analyse the weekend’s football beforehand.

Leeds vs Everton live stream

There will be different ways to stream the game, too.

SkyGo is the streaming platform for Sky and, if you are already a customer, you can access the SkyGo app on mobile, tablet and computer devices.

If not, you can purchase a Now TV day membership pass, which allows you to watch all the day’s Sky Sports coverage and stream it on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Leeds vs Everton team news

Leeds have a few injury concerns going into their opening match, none more so than Jayden Bogle.

The high-flying right-back has missed most of pre-season with an undisclosed injury and it’s not yet clear if he will be fit to play.

Sebastiaan Bornauw is also expected to miss out, while fellow new centre-back Jaka Bijol is suspended after being sent off in his last game for Udinese.

Lucas Perri and Dan James are both fit to play, but they only played their first games back from injury against AC Milan, so their fitness levels may be questioned by the manager.

Everton will also be without three players as Vitalii Mykolenko, Nathan Patterson and Harrison Armstrong are all out, but they could start Jack Grealish following his loan move from Manchester City.

Predictions

Leeds United have a good record on the opening day of the season and a late kick-off at Elland Road is perfect for an incredible atmosphere.

The Whites have looked promising in pre-season and will be raring to get their first win on the board, which they certainly can against an Everton who haven’t strengthened much this summer.

Prediction: Leeds United 2-1 Everton.
