Leeds put in a spirited display at Manchester City, but still came away without any points.
It was a devastating blow from Phil Foden in the 91st minute which undid so much hard work from Leeds, who were able to fight back from 2-0 down to make it 2-2 thanks to goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha.
Daniel Farke – who has been under severe pressure – will come away satisfied, encouraged to see his players fighting for him.
With Leeds still in the relegation zone, however, and now on a run of seven defeats in eight Premier League games, all eyes were on how those in the away end reacted to the German walking over.
Leeds United fans cheered Daniel Farke despite 3-2 defeat
Despite suffering another defeat, the Leeds fans inside the Etihad Stadium were seemingly proud of the courage on show from their side, and supported Farke – who Pep Guardiola praised – for inspiring an exciting second half.

As noticed by Graham Smyth, supporters cheered when the 49-year-old and his players went over to the away end to acknowledge the fans.
Smyth wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “No boos this week. Away end on its feet cheering the players as they go over.”
It suggests Farke has bought himself a bit more time to turn things around at Leeds, in a week where the 49ers shortlisted Brendan Rodgers as a potential replacement – according to talkSPORT.
