Leeds United midfielder Anton Stach has pinpointed the moment that swung the momentum in his side’s favour in their thrilling comeback against Liverpool.
Daniel Farke was staring down the barrel of a defeat after two quick Liverpool goals after half-time looked to have sucked the life out of his Leeds side.
However, a triple substitution from the Leeds boss sparked his side into life, as goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach pulled the Whites level in a dramatic second half.
Having fallen behind for a second time, Ao Tanaka scored a dramatic late equaliser to give Leeds a well-deserved draw.
Now, Stach has admitted that the atmosphere gave him “goosebumps” and was crucial in inspiring Leeds’ comeback in another thrilling encounter.

Speaking to Sky Sports immediately after the game, Leeds goalscorer Stach was left in awe of the atmosphere at Elland Road.
According to the German midfielder, the game provided him with a reminder of why he plays football, as the crowd helped lift Leeds in the second half.
Stach said: “I think everybody has seen it today. Look now at the atmosphere. It’s unbelievable. Exactly for this moment, I think it’s why we play football. We still have goosebumps. It’s so great that today we took a point after such a performance.”
He added: “It was because of the atmosphere, there’s a penalty, I think everybody was in a standing position, and it was so loud.

“You are tired, you are two-nil down against such a good opponent, but then you score a goal and then when the crowd is so loud, in your head there’s like a switch on.
“Then you can run more and go on and go into the duels, and everybody’s with you, in your head it’s the whole city is behind you. That’s what’s so great about the club.”
