Leeds United are the best-performing side at home in England’s top-four leagues, even ahead of Arne Slot’s Liverpool

Leeds United will have gone into the November break in a good place. Back to winning ways after defeat at Millwall, sitting third in the Championship table ahead of a busy Christmas period.

A third of the way through the 2024-25 campaign, Leeds have clocked up 29 points from a possible 45 this season. Eight wins from 15 games, drawing five and only losing two under Daniel Farke so far.

Goals from Jayden Bogle and Joel Piroe got the job done on Saturday. While Leeds are playing well, there is an element of belief that Farke’s men can do even better but the Leeds boss is yet to crack the whip.

It is still early at this stage, but Leeds look comfortable. Dominating games, scoring goals, nine clean sheets already and following Saturday’s win, Leeds are the best-performing side at home in England.

Leeds have 19 points from a possible 24 games at Elland Road

Six wins, one draw and one loss. That defeat coming up against Burnley, and a draw against Portsmouth on the first day. Leeds have beat Hull, Coventry, Sheffield United, Watford, Plymouth an QPR at home.

Across England’s four leagues, Leeds are the best-performing side. Ahead of Sheffield United, Watford and Wrexham on goal difference, scoring one more goal than League One side Wrexham at home.

In the eight Championship games that Leeds have played at home, the Whites have scored 17 goals. Five clean sheets in that time, just five conceded and three of those came on the opening day at Portsmouth.

Clubs in the Premier League have played less games, but Leeds sit ahead of the top-tier’s first-placed side in Brentford who have 16 points from six games at home. Liverpool have 15 from a possible 18 at Anfield.

If Leeds can manage to continue their form at Elland Road and keep picking up points at a ratio of 2.38 a game, then promotion is well within their grasp. That, or they have to step it up a touch away from home.
