Louis Enahoro-Marcus is a young footballer who has been signed by Leeds United to join the club’s academy.

Leeds United are in the midst of a busy and pivotal transfer window as Daniel Farke aims to get his squad in fighting shape for the Premier League.

Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Gabriel Gudmundsson have all arrived at Elland Road so far and several more names are expected before the window closes.

But Leeds aren’t just working on strengthening the first team, as steps are being made to recruit for the academy as well.

Though Harry Gray and several other prospects have signed scholarship deals, several youngsters have been released this summer, so the youth ranks need replenishing.

Leeds are taking steps to do so and have made Louis Enahoro-Marcus their first academy signing of the summer.

Here’s all you need to know about him.

Who is Louis Enahoro-Marcus?

Louis Enahoro-Marcus was born in Benin City, Nigeria, on September 6, 2006. As of July 2025, he is 18 years old but will soon turn 19.

The commanding teenager plays at centre-back and was a regular presence in Liverpool’s Under-18 side in 2024-25.

Enahoro-Marcus played 24 games, scoring one goal, which, funnily enough, came against none other than Leeds.

He also picked up one red card in a 5-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers. He spent nearly a decade at Liverpool but has now moved on.

Louis Enahoro-Marcus to Leeds United transfer

Enahoro-Marcus emerged as a target for Leeds on July 7, with Scott Garner looking to add reinforcements to his Under-21s side.

Two days later on July 9, Leeds officially confirmed the signing, with Enahoro-Marcus arriving on a two-year deal until 2027.

Enahoro-Marcus was released by Liverpool earlier in the summer after spending the entirety of his youth career at the club.

Though Enahoro-Marcus has been released, Liverpool will still be due a training compensation fee from Leeds that will be determined via a tribunal if the clubs can not agree on a figure.

Manchester City’s Jayden Lienou is expected to follow him to Thorp Arch, though Leeds are expected to pay £500k for him rather than a minimal fee.
