Leeds United, Everton and Fulham seem to be fishing in the same transfer pond.

The man on their radar is Steaua Bucharest centre-back Joyskim Dawa, who is currently impressing in the Europa League and is considered a ‘late bloomer’.

Of course, the Premier League duo have a huge advantage over Leeds because of their current status, but this one is still one to watch out for.

The Mirror have reported that Dawa is available for a ‘bargain’ £4 million transfer amid his ever-progressing performances for Steaua Bucharest.

Leeds have been mentioned as an interested party for Dawa, but so are Everton and Fulham keeping tabs on the 28-year-old.

It’s promotion or bust for Daniel Farke at Leeds this season, with the club needing defensive and midfield additions and the January transfer window being one to watch out for.

Who is transfer target Joyskim Dawa?

Born in France, Dawa was on Monaco’s books when Kylian Mbappe was coming through and making a name for himself as one of the world’s best teenagers.

Dawa didn’t make an appearance for the Ligue 1 club, which shouldn’t be a surprise because they had some serious talent at the time, including Manchester City’s Treble-winning star, Bernardo Silva.

That road led the hard-hitting centre-back to play in Ukraine and now for Romania’s top side where his performances in Europe have caught the eye.

Dawa won his first Romanian title with Steaua Bucharest last season, so his reputation and performances have only been growing in recent years.

Along with that, Dawa has repped Cameroon on nine occasions, but he hasn’t been called up by his country for three years.

Leeds United’s January transfer window

Everyone knows that the Whites will be pushing for promotion when the winter transfer window re-opens, it’s just a case of where the club will be at.

If they have a mountain to climb, then the transfer window might just become more of a panic, but if Farke can get through these next few months given the injuries, then the waters will be far more calmer.

If Leeds can push from a financial perspective as much as they would like, then midfield will become the priority you presume, but it seems as though they are still looking at those defensive options.
