Isaac Schmidt is a Swiss footballer for Leeds United, spending the 2025-26 season on loan at Werder Bremen.

Leeds United signed Isaac Schmidt from St. Gallen in the summer of 2024, paying a reasonable £2.5m fee for him.

However, Schmidt never really got a chance in Daniel Farke’s side after making only a handful of appearances in his first season in the Championship. He has now headed out on loan to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen for the season.

Isaac Schmidt is a professional football player who currently plays on loan for Werder Bremen from parent club Leeds.

He was signed by the Yorkshire outfit from Swiss side St. Gallen.

The Swiss defender started out at Lausanne-Sport, having come through their youth ranks and into the first team.

In 2021, he made the switch to St. Gallen, where he was a key player before the move to England. Now he is in Germany and scored on his debut for Werder Bremen.
