Leeds are seemingly working on a deal to sign Ruben Vargas from Sevilla.
A story from OrgulloBiri recently claimed that Leeds are preparing a £17m bid for the Switzerland international, who has scored three goals and provided four assists across 12 appearances in La Liga so far this season.
The source is one close to Sevilla, which makes the story particularly interesting.
Now, the same outlet have shared why Sevilla could well accept a £17m bid from Leeds.
Leeds United fans made aware of financial issues at Sevilla amid Ruben Vargas rumours
OrgulloBiri have now posted an update on Vargas, where it is revealed that the Sevilla No.11 is also a target for Tottenham and Aston Villa – although the duo are only “monitoring” him for now.
Could Ruben Vargas be the missing piece in Leeds’ jigsaw? 🔥
He's been excellent in Spain…
Not only that, but the Sevillian news outlet claim that Sevilla will have a “dilemma” if a £17m offer from Leeds does arrive, due to financial problems within the Spanish club.
OrgulloBiri write that £17m would provide a “much-needed financial boost” for Sevilla, especially as several other positions are in need of strengthening.

Therefore, Leeds have a great chance of striking an agreement for Vargas – who Victor Orta adores – this winter by the looks of it, especially with Sevilla only five points off Europe at the time of writing.
Using the money to bolster several other positions would surely give Matias Almeyda a greater chance of taking Sevilla into one of the European qualification slots.
Ruben Vargas might be asking Daniel Farke questions about his tactics
Leeds have enjoyed success of late after Daniel Farke switched to a 3-5-2 formation, notably taking points off Chelsea and Liverpool.
However, that system replaces traditional wingers with wing-backs, which poses a potential problem for Vargas.

£9m is such a bargain
The 27-year-old has made six appearances on the left wing so far this season and three on the right flank, along with two in a central attacking midfield position.
It means a 3-5-2 formation effectively cancels out two of the three positions Vargas can play, so the Swiss forward will presumably want assurances of a starting role if he were to join Leeds this winter.
