Leeds United have sold seven players on a permanent basis this summer with The 49ers staging a fire sale in order to bring in some cash at Elland Road – but one could have his deal terminated, already.

Archie Gray is the headline exit, completing a £40m move to Tottenham. The Thorp Arch product is now the club’s third most-expensive sale behind only Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips, ahead of Rio Ferdinand.

Crysencio Summerville joined West Ham for a fee of £25m, while Glen Kamara also departed for Ligue 1 side Rennes. Charlie Cresswell is also in France with Toulouse, and Betis have signed two Leeds players.

Marc Roca and Diego Llorente have joined the Spanish side. The seventh name on that list is that of Kris Klaesson, with the Norwegian goalkeeper joining Polish side Rakow after just four appearances for Leeds.

Kris Klaesson could already see his Rakow contract terminated

Klaesson, 23, played three of his four games for Leeds last season when Illan Meslier was suspended after a red card against Preston and Karl Darlow suffered a dislocated thumb, leaving Klaesson to fill the void.

But now, he has left Leeds on a permanent basis for top-tier side Rakow and Alex Cairns has returned to Leeds as his replacement. But it could all be over before it has started for Klaesson, at new club Rakow.

Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy say that Klaesson returned from pre-season at Rakow slightly above weight. The club put a plan in place for the 20-time Norway Under-21 goalkeeper to return to fitness.

But despite returning overweight at his new club, Klaesson has been spotted in McDonald’s by Rakow fans and it has led to the club taking a hard stance on the player just a month after joining the Poles.

It is claimed that Rakow could actually cancel his contract having been so aggrieved by Klaesson’s lapse in diet, after the club had put a plan in place. It might be then that after a month, Klaesson leaves Rakow.
