Leeds United currently have scouts in attendance at the Copa America out in the United States.
The Whites actually have quite a strong interest in the tournament considering three recent former managers are taking part.
Marcelo Bielsa is currently in charge of Uruguay and has a genuine chance of lifting the trophy, defeating Thomas Christiansen’s Panama in their first game.
Jesse Marsch, meanwhile, is spearheading Canada’s first ever Copa America campaign and picked up a crucial 1-0 win over Peru in the early hours of this morning, after losing their opener to Argentina.
Leeds will also be keeping a close eye on how Brenden Aaronson gets on after it was confirmed he would be returning next season. He is in the USA squad alongside former Whites teammates Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie.

Canadian media deliver verdict on Liam Millar’s performance vs Peru
With all that said, the main reason why Leeds are keeping an eye on the tournament is due to one of their summer targets being in Marsch‘s Canada squad.
Leeds are reportedly one of three Championship sides alongside Sheffield United and Preston North End tracking FC Basel winger Liam Millar, who was on loan at the latter last season.
Millar has a release clause in his contract in Switzerland and is ‘sure’ to be leaving permanently with just a year remaining on his deal.
Leeds and Archie Gray know all too well what Millar is capable of following his performance in PNE’s 2-1 win over Farke’s side at Deepdale, but clearly the club’s scouting department want to see if he can reproduce that on a consistent basis.
And according to the Canadian media, they may well have been left underwhelmed by his display in the 1-0 victory over Peru.
Millar was actually handed a starting role on the right-hand-side rather than left, which is where he had impressed at North End. He was then hooked at half-time after struggling to get into the game.
They wrote: “Liam Millar – 6/10. Playing on the right wing instead of the left wing he occupied last time out, Liam Millar wasn’t as involved as he was against Argentina.
“He completed all eight of his passes, including a cross that led to an opportunity to score, but for the most part wasn’t involved often enough in the first half to make a hugely significant impact on the match.
“Millar was subbed out at halftime as Jesse Marsch made a triple substitution, replaced by Jacob Shaffelburg.”
Would Millar be a good signing for Leeds?
Leeds could well end up entering the market for multiple new wingers if speculation is to be believed on Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto.
Both players are attracting big money interest from the Premier League, and with Jaidon Anthony’s loan spell having ended, that would leave Leeds three wingers short.
If Millar was to come in as a squad player and fulfil the role Anthony took last season, he would definitely be worth bringing in. Five goals and five assists, predominantly as a wing-back in a poor Preston team, is a good return.
However, if Leeds were to make him the main man on that left-hand-side instead of Summerville, it would be a very underwhelming replacement.
