Daniel Farke’s Leeds United are interested in signing Nathaniel Phillips from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the final days of the January transfer window.
That is according to The Daily Mail, but journalist Alan Nixon has claimed that Phillips is on his way to another club.
So, what has been reported about Leeds United, Liverpool and Nathaniel Phillips? Let’s take a look.
Leeds United want to sign Nathaniel Phillips from Liverpool
Well, according to The Daily Mail, Leeds United are interested in signing Nathaniel Phillips from Liverpool before the January transfer window closes.
The report has claimed that Leeds are keeping an eye on the situation of Phillips, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already suggested that he could send the 26-year-old defender out on loan again.
The Daily Mail has claimed that Cardiff City are keen on Phillips, adding that Blackburn Rovers are also interested in the Englishman and are “hopeful” of getting a loan deal done in the final days of the January transfer window.
Blackburn Rovers could win Phillips race
While Leeds may be keen on Phillips, a well-known journalist has claimed that it is Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers who are about to win the race for the Liverpool centre-back.
Alan Nixon has reported on Patreon that Blackburn are close to signing Phillips on a loan deal from Premier League club Liverpool.
It seems that Leeds will miss out on the signing of Phillips for the second successive transfer window. The Whites are now also unlikely to get Daiki Hashioka.
The Athletic reported in June 2023 that Leeds wanted to sign the defender. The Whites had not appointed Daniel Farke as their head coach at the time.
Phillips did not move to Elland Road and joined Celtic on loan instead. And, now it seems that he will end up at Blackburn now.
