Leeds United are expected to make a few more signings before the end of the transfer window, with a winger of the highest priority. But one option approached by Leeds is now set for a move to Iran.

Moussa Djenepo set for shock Iran switch after Leeds approach
Eagle-eyed Premier League fans will remember the name Moussa Djenepo, after his four seasons with Southampton following a £15m move from Standard Liege. The Mali ace is back at Standard Liege, now.
After a season on loan at Turkish side Antalyaspor, Liege are looking to get his £18k-a-week pay cheque off the wage bill, according to Africa Foot. Leeds were linked with Djenepo earlier in the summer window.
Now, Africa Foot say Djenepo has been the subject of moves from Leeds and Rangers, Paraag Marathe, and the 49ers’ new club. But, Djenepo is edging towards a shock move to the Iranian side, Persepolis.
Djenepo move always unlikely, who do Leeds want now?
While Nathan Redmond once described Djenepo as “super talented” in an interview with the Daily Echo, Djenepo’s career has fallen by the wayside and his arrival at Leeds would have been underwhelming.
Leeds remain in the market for a winger and have held a meeting with Bilal El Khannouss’ representatives. Over in Italy, Fiorentina’s Riccardo Sottil continues to be linked, even though Graham Smyth has denied it.
It is unclear who Leeds will end up signing, but failure to sign anyone will be deemed as a huge mistake. Adam Underwood and his transfer team have until the deadline on September 1, with 27 days left to go.
