Leeds United are set to focus on incoming signings in the next few weeks as the club return from their pre-season training camp in Germany, and one target is based in Ukraine.
The 49ers have been focused on bringing in some cash this summer. They’ve sold six players, raking in around £60m thanks to the sales of Archie Gray, Charlie Cresswell, Glen Kamara and three other players.
The Whites have turned their attention to bringing in some depth, having already signed the likes of Alex Cairns, Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon and Joe Rothwell. The array of players departing has left a few holes.
More cover at full-back is required as is a replacement for Glen Kamara, while a natural no.10 has long been missing from this squad. Brenden Aaronson is back, but the American has been used on the left.

One thing Leeds have done over the last few years and to Victor Orta’s rare credit, is that The Whites have been impressive in scouring Europe for young talent and bringing them through, into the senior side.
The likes of Illan Meslier, Mateo Joseph, Pascal Struijk and Crysencio Summerville were all bought from European clubs for a combined fee of far less than £10m. But now, they’re all key players for Daniel Farke.
Leeds are looking to repeat that according to a report from Ta To Take on Telegram, with the Whites keen on a deal for Ukraine wonderkid Gennadiy Synchuk from second-tier Ukraine side Metalist Kharkiv.
Leeds not the only English side interested in his signature
The report states Leeds are not the only Championship side looking at a deal for the Ukraine U23 talent. Kharkiv’s no.9 is also being eyed by Sunderland, Derby and Middlesbrough as well as a few German clubs.
But the report makes it clear that Leeds are leading the race to sign Synchuk this summer, having shown interest in the 18-year-old right-winger since the ‘winter’. It is unclear how much the teenager would cost.
However, Leeds are leading the way and it looks as if that at some point over the next few weeks, The Whites could welcome an 18-year-old Ukranian talent to the club, perhaps initially with the U21 side.
