Ask most Leeds United fans which player they would like the club to sign first this summer, it would be the man that clinched the Championship title last month, Manor Solomon.

When Solomon signed, it was a gamble. Michael Bridges deemed Solomon’s arrival a risk and rightly so, given he had been sidelined for a year after tearing his meniscus just six games into his Tottenham spell.

But as Solomon regained match fitness, he started to shine in a Leeds shirt. The second half of the season saw Solomon shine, producing 16 of his 23 goals and assists for Leeds after the turn of the year in 2025.

Indeed, Solomon’s final goal involvement came in the final minutes of the entire season to beat Plymouth 2-1 and clinch the Championship title. Leeds fans are desperate to see Solomon signed from Tottenham.

Manor Solomon will return from Israel duty early, this weekend

Solomon, like the rest of the Leeds squad, has enjoyed some down time before representing his country this week. Israel take on Estonia in World Cup qualifying on Friday, before a friendly against Slovakia.

A report from Sports Walla states that a handful of Israel players will leave the National Team camp after the game against Estonia, and won’t be in the squad to take on Slovakia – Solomon is one of them.

The reason for his early departure from Israel duty is unclear and isn’t reported. But it could be that he has some business to attend to at club level – perhaps thrashing out his future with Spurs and Leeds.

What are the latest reports concerning Solomon’s future…

Solomon has been informed by Tottenham that he will be leaving Spurs this summer, even if Spurs fans have urged Daniel Levy to keep Solomon after his stunning exploits with Leeds during the 2024-25 term.

Leeds stakeholders TJ McConnell and Larry Nance Jr want Solomon to stay, but Angus Kinnear could throw a spanner in the works. Kinnear was key in signing Solomon at Leeds and now Everton want him.

Of course, Kinnear’s new side where he and David Moyes are backed by the fresh ownership of The Friedkin Group. It is unclear what happens next but Leeds are keen to keep Solomon this summer.
