How much Leeds United would demand for Crysensio Summerville if they fail to win the play-offs

Leeds United can take a step closer to a Premier League return tonight with victory over Norwich City.

This play-off semi-final tie is finely balanced heading into the game at Elland Road after a cagey 0-0 draw in the first leg in Norfolk at the weekend.

Having missed out on automatic promotion, there will be no more second chances after today if Leeds are beaten. It would consign them to another season of Championship football.

Leeds have the advantage of being at home this evening but will have to make history if they are to get promoted, with the club having failed in all five of their previous play-off campaigns.

A win tonight would move them to within just 90 minutes of an immediate return to the top-flight, with a final against one of Southampton or West Bromwich Albion at Wembley to come.

How much Leeds will demand for Summerville this summer

Winning the play-offs would setup a considerably more exciting summer for Leeds as the focus would predominantly be on who comes in to help the club remain in the Premier League.

On the other hand, a window of uncertainty would be ahead if Leeds do fail. 49ers Enterprises know key sales would have to be made, and according to the Daily Mail, £100 million would need raising.

The report states Championship POTS Crysencio Summerville would be the most likely to go, with the 22-year-old attracting interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

Teammates Willy Gnonto, Illan Meslier, Georginio Rutter and Archie Gray have also been mentioned as potential exits, while Patrick Bamford could also be moved on.

However, after the season he has had, as well as the vast interest in his services, Summerville would bring in the highest transfer fee. It is said Leeds will command over £30 million to sell him.

Summerville would have earned big money transfer

It would be hugely disappointing to see Summerville leave without having got Leeds back to the Premier League, but no one could begrudge him of a move.

As so many of his teammates left last summer, he could’ve easily done the same. However, he kept his head down, chose to stay and has been brilliant all season.

There have been reports Summerville won’t push for a move even if Leeds don’t get promoted, but ultimately, the club’s finances may make it a neccessity.

Hopefully Summerville is at his very best tonight and potentially next weekend so this scenario doesn’t have to happen.
