Leeds United are active in their pursuit of two midfielders currently, with Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach firmly on their radar.
After missing out on Noah Sadiki and Habib Diarra, Leeds United have had to look at other options in the centre of midfield, which includes Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach.
The Whites had tabled an offer worth a total of £12 million for Longstaff, which included around £2 million in add-ons on top of the initial fee. That was rejected but a breakthrough has been found overnight.
It’s been stated that Stach is valued in excess of £17 million by Hoffenheim, but it’s now being reported that Stach and Leeds have agreed personal terms, with a fee the final aspect to resolve.

Sean Longstaff heads for medical as Leeds agree Anton Stach personal terms
Reports of Newcastle wanting closer to £20 million for Longstaff meant a compromise was going to have to be found, in order for them to bring in the cash for their academy product. However, the deal was placed on hold after Newcastle rejected a third bid last week.
Leeds are now closer to both him and Stach, though. That’s because there were claims that a Longstaff exit would become more likely as the window progressed and Newcastle became more open to a cheaper fee than the £20 million.
The latest is that it will now cost Leeds £15 million for Longstaff including add-ons, per David Ornstein. With Stach also agreeing personal terms, both deals are accelerating towards a conclusion now.
Fabrizio Romano has not commented on Stach, but he has since revealed the latest situation with Longstaff. The 27-year-old has been given the ‘Here We Go’ to complete his move from Newcastle.
He claims that Leeds and Longstaff agreed to the deal in June but only now have Newcastle authorised Longstaff to undergo a medical with Leeds after the clubs sealed an agreement.

Leeds’ total spend if they sign Longstaff and Stach
Longstaff is one of seven signings Leeds will make in the final two months of the summer transfer window, with Leeds not taking any chances next season in getting the squad into shape.
Of course, it could be more than the final six which takes it to 11 in total, but that will be contingent on other exits.
There is plenty to go due to the Whites hardly taking much out of the possible £150 million available to Leeds, with some very well-constructed deals coming to fruition.
| Leeds’ confirmed signings plus Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach | |
| Lukas Nmecha | Free transfer |
| Jaka Bijol | £15m |
| Sebastiaan Bornauw | £5.1m |
| Gabriel Gudmunsson | £10m |
| Sean Longstaff | £15m (incl. add-ons) |
| Anton Stach | £17.3m+ |
| Total spent | £62.4m |
Of course, Stach could cost well in excess of €20 million with his own add-ons, but Leeds are looking in good shape from those six signings — if they can get the pair over the line.
