Leeds United fans had been hoping for three deadline-day signings alongside the arrivals of Ao Tanaka and Isaac Schmidt, but it now looks unlikely Leeds will make an attacking signing.
Daniel Farke said after the sale of Georginio Rutter that his squad needed four signings. Two attacking players after the losses of Crysencio Summerville and Rutter. Two have been added in the last fortnight.
Manor Solomon on loan from Tottenham, Largie Ramazani from Almeria for £10m. Then, Leeds have also brought in Japan star Tanaka and a move to sign Schmidt is expected to arrive before the 11pm deadline.
But Farke said in Thursday’s press conference that Leeds would remain vigilant in the hunt for a no.10. The likes of Gustavo Hamer, Roland Sallai and Mohamed Belloumi have all been linked with a late move.

Leeds should be one of four clubs eyeing Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson
But Leeds have been unable to bring in an attacking player with Sheffield United unwilling to budge from their desire to keep Hamer, and a failure to agree terms with Freiburg sees Sallai remain in Germany.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol reports on the Transfer Centre (30/08, 6.55) that four unnamed clubs are eyeing a move for Arsenal outcast Reiss Nelson, ahead of a possible late move on deadline day.
While it would be wholly ambitious, Nelson would be perfect for Leeds. A player able to play on both flanks and in the 10 role, superb from set-pieces and incredibly both-footed – just what Leeds need.

Nelson rejected Leeds move in 2020 but time is running out
The chances are that Nelson joins a Premier League club before the end of the window, or simply remains at Arsenal for another season to continue to provide depth to Milel Arteta’s side, but he needs a move.
That is obvious. Little over 250 minutes of Premier League football last season is proof of that. Nelson will see himself as a top-tier, Premier League footballer and he is right to think that but time is running out.
Four clubs are interested and with less than four hours to go in the window, Leeds have got to be in the running for Nelson – a player that rejected a move to Leeds back in the summer of 2020, as per CBS.
