By his own standards, Crysencio Summerville has not been, over the last two games, at the level Leeds United fans have come to expect from the Dutchman in what has been an unbelievable season for the winger.
He has scored three goals in the last eight games, but went without a goal in the wins over Plymouth Argyle and Leicester City. It is perhaps a sign that Crysencio Summerville could do with a small rest given that he has barely missed a minute in the Championship since August.
Daniel Farke is in the fortunate position that when one player is struggling in the final third, he has a number of options to turn to.
Jaidon Anthony deserves opportunity when Leeds face Chelsea
When Daniel James picked up an injury, Willy Gnonto came in and scored five in five. When Joel Piroe’s form dipped, Patrick Bamford did brilliantly. And Summerville is perhaps one player in need of a breather now.

Summerville was arguably the quietest of the attacking players against Leicester on Friday. He should have been given a golden chance when Piroe decided to have an early strike himself. But he also failed to take some opportunities himself. And Hamza Choudhury did well with the 22-year-old in the second-half.
Daniel James helped change the game when he came on for Gnonto. Summerville meanwhile, would come off for Jaidon Anthony late on.
Anthony is still waiting for that chance to really steal the show during his loan spell. He has definitely had some bright moments. But with Summerville quiet against the Foxes, perhaps this week’s FA Cup tie with Chelsea marks the perfect time to hand Anthony a rare start – particularly with Summerville a doubt for the game.
Crysencio Summerville may be in need of rest after amazing season
Of course, we would love to beat Chelsea and add to their misery right now. But the clear priority is promotion. So changes will surely be made.
And Anthony is someone with 33 Premier League appearances under his belt. He is definitely not a bad replacement for Summerville by any means.
Summerville will want to start against the Blues and show what he can do, if he is fit. But the crucial Championship fixtures keep on coming. So it may be wise to take the winger out of the side at Stamford Bridge.
And if Anthony can make an impact, Leeds will have yet another player full of confidence heading into the final stages of the league season.
