Leeds picked up a very important win in the Championship against Norwich and despite not scoring on the day, Georginio Rutter put in a great performance.

The 3-2 win sees Leeds sit third in the Championship and only six points from second. With so many games left, they could easily catch up to the automatic promotion spots.

Georginio Rutter has become a key player under Daniel Farke already this season and his performance on the weekend shows that despite not scoring, the attacker adds a lot to the Leeds team. He will be key in helping them have a successful season.

It’s a big week for the club as they have two Championship matches in the next six days and if they can pick up two more wins then they will start to believe that they could get straight back to the Premier League.

Georginio Rutter puts in top performance for Leeds vs Norwich

Rutter played up front in the match and watched as teammate Crysencio Summerville scored two goals. The other Leeds goal was a Norwich own goal.

Despite this, he still played very well and actually picked up the second-best rating out of the whole Leeds squad with a 7.8 out of 10, via SofaScore.

The stats show why he received such a high rating as Rutter managed one assist, completed 22 of his 25 passes and was fouled five times. The ‘magnificent‘ 21-year-old also managed two key passes and won six of his nine ground duels.

It was a perfect all-round performance and having a forward who can do a lot of the work on the ball and help create, as well as score, is a manager’s dream. His performance saw him impress many, including BBC Sport pundit Jon Newsome.

This season, the Frenchman has two goals and four assists. If Rutter can manage to score a few more then he would be one of the top strikers in the division.

Despite his lack of goals, he is still a key player and the way he can battle and create no doubt sees him as a player who could have a huge say in whether Leeds get promoted this season.
