Leeds United are finally back in the Premier League after securing their promotion back to the big time.
It’s been a bumpy ride in 2025 and Leeds United threatened to throw all their good work away when they went on a run of just one win in six matches.
But all that is forgiven now after Daniel Farke secured his third Premier League promotion as a manager.
Leeds started Easter Weekend on the front foot by narrowly defeating Oxford United on Good Friday, but Sheff United kept things interesting by returning to winning ways against Cardiff City.
However, Leeds piled the pressure on Chris Wilder’s side on Easter Monday as they smashed Stoke City 6-0 before the Blades went on to lose 2-1 at Burnley to secure promotion for the Whites.
Leeds have returned to the top flight, just as the Opta supercomputer predicted before the season even began.

Opta supercomputer Championship predictions for 2024-25
To generate its predictions for the season, the Opta supercomputer simulated the entire 2024-25 Championship season 10,000 times.
On 45% of those occasions, Leeds finished top of the Championship table, and finished in the top two in 63.4% of them.
Now, with Leeds’ place in the top two secure, the predictions have been proven right but it didn’t do so well elsewhere.
Middlesbrough were the other team projected to go up automatically, with Burnley, West Brom, Luton Town and Coventry rounding off the Play-off places.
Currently, only Burnley and Coventry are in the top six, with Luton sitting down in 22nd.
Sheffield United were predicted to finish 9th, Bristol City 10th and – somehow – Sunderland were predicted to finish in 21st place.

What’s next for Leeds United?
Now the return to the Premier League is finally in the bag, Leeds can play the remaining two fixtures with the pressure off as they gun for the Championship title.
Burnley are still breathing hard down their necks and the two sides are level on points.
The Whites’ final home game of the season comes next Monday against Bristol City, before a trip to the seaside to take on Plymouth Argyle, who are still fighting for survival despite sitting bottom.
Once the season is concluded, attention can turn to the summer transfer window and strengthening ahead of what will be a tough top flight campaign.
