West Brom could try to hand Carlos Corberan a new contract amid interest from Leeds United, but the Daily Mail reports that the Baggies also have a potential replacement in mind should the Spaniard leave.
The Whites are now looking for a new head coach after announcing Jesse Marsch’s departure on Monday. It comes after another defeat at the weekend left Leeds in the jaws of the relegation zone.
Corberan appears to be one of the contenders to succeed Marsch at Elland Road. The 39-year-old spent time on the coaching staff at Leeds. And he was promoted into the first-team fold while Marcelo Bielsa was in charge.

He has since impressed as a manager in his own right. He guided an uninspiring Huddersfield side to the play-off final. And after a short stint with Olympiacos, Corberan has taken West Brom into promotion contention just months after arriving when the Baggies were in the relegation zone.
He has that connection with Leeds. And his stock is high after his work at the Hawthorns.
The Daily Mail reports that Corberan is under serious consideration at Elland Road. And with that, West Brom are keen to offer him a new deal to try and convince him to stay.
Interestingly, the report adds that West Brom could target Darren Moore should Corberan decide to leave.
Corberan is an interesting name. He has done well in the Championship. And he would be returning to familiar surroundings. He has also taken a lot on from his time working with Bielsa.
But he is not experienced in the Premier League. And he has not managed a lot in the top-flight. So it would be a gamble to make an approach.
But if Leeds do come calling and Corberan is keen to go, it is surely going to be hard for West Brom to keep him.
