Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen endured a moment to forget for AS Roma last night after scoring a comical own goal in a friendly.
A video of him putting the ball in his own net began to circulate among Leeds supporters on Twitter last night as Roma defeated SC Farense 4-2 in a friendly.
Kristensen had only been on the field for little over 20 minutes and with the score at 3-0, gave his opponents a glimmer of hope as he steered the ball beyond his own ‘keeper Mile Svilar and into the net.
The 25-year-old was attempting to deal with a relatively nothing cross to the back post by cushioning a volleyed back pass to Svilar.
However, Kristensen got it all wrong and instead his pass made its way towards the bottom corner despite the best efforts of Svilar, who dived across his goal to prevent it going in.

Kristensen was playing just his third game for his new club Roma after joining on loan from Leeds last month just a year on from his £10m move from RB Salzburg.
He is one of six players to have made the temporary switch away from Elland Road this summer, but has not made the best of early impressions with this own goal.
Roma’s deal for Kristensen does not include an option-to-buy and so he could, quite conceivably, be back at Leeds in 12 months’ time.
Moments like this will not help in his quest to earn a permanent deal at Roma, and Leeds fans will arguably he hoping he enjoys a better time of it once the season starts so he does not return.
That said, they have certainly been quick to find humour in a difficult moment for the Danish defender.
