Leeds United loanee Luis Sinisterra endured a nightmare cameo off the bench for Colombia in the early hours of this morning.

In a clip shared by Colombian journalist Juan David Laverde on Twitter, Sinisterra is twice shown fluffing his lines in front of goal, with his second decision of particular frustration.

In what was a game of very few chances, Sinisterra saw the ball fortuitously drop to him inside the area after completely missing the ball with his first attempt.

Then, with a clear sight at goal, Sinisterra opted to delay and attempt a crazy pass across the area which was intercepted, to the bemusement and frustration of the Colombian faithful.

Sinisterra can consider himself extremely lucky the missed chance did not cost his side completely, as just moments later Chile went up the other end and scored, only for it to be chalked off by VAR.

The score did end up finishing 0-0, but journalist Laverde claiming on Twitter he just cannot get his head around Sinisterra’s decision to pass.

He said: “I’ve watched the video 10 times and I still can’t understand the Sinisterra thing. You have the arch in front and you pass it. You had a great time! It just can’t be.”

It is surprising to see a player of Sinisterra’s quality make such a poor decision like that but Leeds fans everywhere will share a little smile at his disappointment.

Sinisterra left Leeds in controversial circumstances for Bournemouth on deadline day which has left a bitter taste in the mouth of many supporters.
