Alan Shearer has included Leeds United duo Illan Meslier and Jack Harrison in his Premier League Team of the Week after Javi Gracia guided the Whites to a surprise 4-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday.
Harrison opened the scoring as the uncapped English star got his second goal in two League games, after netting in the 2-2 draw with Brighton last time out. He has put a near-move to Leicester on deadline day aside, and is shining.
Indeed, the 26-year-old winger also played a huge part in Rasmus Kristensen’s goal. It was his cross that Jonny did not deal with before Kristensen, having come off the bench, won the ball back and slotted through Jose Sa’s legs.
Harrison was exceptional on the day as Leeds climbed from 19th to 14th in the Premier League table, with the win. Gracia’s second in four Premier League games. Jesse Marsch only managed four wins in the previous 23 games.
Meanwhile, £5m man Meslier became the youngest goalkeeper to play 100 Premier League games. He did concede twice but he made a number of saves to keep Wolves at bay. Shearer included Meslier and Harrison in his TOTW.

Luke Ayling may feel slightly hard done by given his performance, and goal, from right-back – but the Leeds skipper was overlooked for ex-Elland Road star Ben White. White starred as Arsenal eased Crystal Palace aside on Sunday.
It is fair to say that every player that took to the field impressed on Saturday. Notably, Robin Koch and Max Wober at centre-back. Willy Gnonto got the ball rolling with an assist for Harrison, while Rodrigo came off the bench to score.
Plenty of positives and a brilliant time to win going into the international break. Leeds are next in action when we go to London to take on a high-flying Arsenal side – but for now, things are looking up under Gracia, at Elland Road.
